Description of the Projectimg_2355img_2372

The issue I am addressing is that Hillary Clinton wants to implement gun control. My project states, “Vote for Hillary 2016”, but since it’s in Gun Powder it’s meant to be sarcastic. So vote for Hillary, if you want your constitutional rights taken away.

List of Ideas

“A central theme is found in our group interviews is this black invisibility, that is, the experience of white professors, students, and staff members refusing to see, and recognize African American students as full human beings with distinctive talents, virtues, interests, and problems.” (Experience Sociology by D. Croteau and W. Hoynes, Pg. 361)

“Black communities as a whole reap a disproportionately small share of the higher-education rewards they help create with their taxes.” (Experience Sociology by D. Croteau and W. Hoynes, Pg. 366)

“Men are viewed as initiators of sex and women as either passive partners or active resistors, preventing men from touching their bodies.” (Experience Sociology by D. Croteau and W. Hoynes, Pg. 289)

“Sexually active men are referred to as “studs” whereas women who are sexually active or report enjoying sex are derogatorily labeled as “sluts.” ((Experience Sociology by D. Croteau and W. Hoynes, Pg. 290)

“The simple fact is that for the same offense, a poor person is more likely to be arrested and , if arrested charged, than a middle or upper class person.” (Experience Sociology by D. Croteau and W. Hoynes, Pg. 165)

“When it comes to crime in the suites, where the offender is apt to be affluent, the system is most likely to deal with the crime non criminally, that is, by civil litigation or informal settlement.” (Experience Sociology by D. Croteau and W. Hoynes, Pg. 167)

“Their real-estate, construction, and land development companies form growth coalitions that dominate most local governments.” (Experience Sociology by D. Croteau and W. Hoynes, Pg. 370)

“Poor states may sell raw goods at low prices to Western states, which can transform the resource into a more valuable finished product.” (Experience Sociology by D. Croteau and W. Hoynes, Pg. 420)

“The magnetic draw of a better life in economies that amply reward their human capital plus the brightest minds from their countries of origin, a process referred to as “brain drain”. (Experience Sociology by D. Croteau and W. Hoynes, Pg. 422)

“The existence of global poverty provides jobs for specialists employed to assist, advise, and study the world’s poor and to protect the “better-off” from them.” (Experience Sociology by D. Croteau and W. Hoynes, Pg. 424)

How did you make it?

I borrowed some black powder from my Dad
I cut out some stencils from an image that I found on Google
I rubbed stick glue all over the canvas
I poured the black powder over the stencils
I then removed the stencils, thats all there is to it.

Advice to Others

Be very careful when messing with gun powder, if at all possible stay away from it. I chose to use it, because it made a stronger message for my project.
