glasses

The Promise Spectacle’s

I invented these glasses for the purpose of understanding other’s struggles. When you put these on, they automatically give you the ability to empathize with everybody’s situations. Instead of seeing an individual’s struggle as a personal problem, it is seen as a social issue. This is so you do not feel alone in your trouble and everybody can relate because they have the same problem. For example, having Crohns Disease effects an individual but putting on these glasses, everyone understands the struggle of having the disease.

Social Status Glasses

These glasses were invented for the purpose of seeing everyone as their equal. Looking through these glasses there is no judgement when looking at each other. Everybody has the same views, is in the same social class, and there is peace among all human beings. There is no upper, middle, or lower class; everyone shares one common economic and social class. For example, in the movie The Cat in the Hat, everyone has the same house, the same car, and the same lifestyle.

The Social Control Slim Shadys

These shades make everyone agree with the overall laws of society. Because everyone accepts the rules, there is conformed group of people and no one challenges the system. There is social control within the society because everyone shares the same opinion. For example, instead living in a world with war and constant chaos, you see a world filled with world peace and harmony between all humans.

Selfie Presentation Specs

When placing these glasses on your face, you have the ability to see how everyone truly is. There is no show being put on the mask who a person really is. Everything is black and white; everything is seen as “backstage”. For example, when a customer walks into Subway, they experience what is to be expected, but with these glasses on, they see the behind the scenes.

The Outsider Frames

Looking through these glasses I invented you now see the common insider views. You no longer challenge the rules but instead you now understand them and follow them. Putting on the glasses, you do not question the laws and now see others that do as an outsider. You are now a part of the social norm for example, if you never understood the point going to class every day and regularly skipped, once you put these glasses on, you comprehend the importance of attending class regularly.

How Did You Make It?

As we talked about projects in class, I overheard some really good ideas then it just hit me. Creating a pair of glass to manipulate the way we see certain things. I myself was the inspiration I randomly thought of it and went with it.

Advice to Others

Usually the random ideas are the best or “most creative” so just go with it.
