A series of photographs depicting how I find sociology in the world around me.

car
Economic mechanism for social  control.

police
This scene is a example of a sign vehicle I frequently come across that relays a sense of “law and order.” As well as a reminder of an armed police force ready for violent means of social control.
cow
This represents the confused and embarrassed halt caused by the contradiction between individual self projected when entering the presence of others that may have a different view.
justice
Political and moral social control.
monument
An example of our past use of foreign policy as a violent form of social control.
outsider
This is an outsider we may have walked past at some point.
tent-village
These are outsiders which have formed a new norm. Sharing the label of deviants compared to our standard suburbanite living.
self
These represent our private orbits, each painting depicting a close up view to the roles we play in life.
wind.jpg
My personal underlying sense of being trapped. The shaping of history outpaces the ability of men to maintain traditional values. Fully maintaining your own food production has slowly become a thing of the past.
