I did my project on what it is like to be a biracial child. I have a biracial daughter, so I got to personally see the three theories of outsider, social control, and front/back stage. They could be considered outsiders to some people that do not believe in interracial couples and children. In the past, a form of social control is the Jim Crow Laws because it was put into place to try to prevent biracial children. Lastly, front/backstage stage is seen from family members and friends. Some people will say a child’s skin color does not matter, but when the baby is actually born they are never to be seen or heard from.
